There has been national (Twitter) outrage as the child from Channel 4’s ‘The Snowman’ has been shown to be flouting the government’s Covid-19 restrictions.
He travels from his middle class parent’s home to Brighton, now in Tier 4, without any regard for the Prime Minister’s Stay-At-Home order. With further contempt for the rules, the boy, unnamed, then travels to an unspecified Scandinavian location to an exclusive party.
The public (the people of Twitter) have reacted with horror, demanding that Channel 4 take a clear stance against these reckless actions.
One Twitter user remarked that “It’s disgusting. For Channel 4 to present such a flagrant disregard for the rules is an insult to all of us who’ve followed the rules. I was enraged enough when the 20-somethings had the audacity to leave their London box rooms, but this is more sickening still.
When asked whether this Twitter user was surrounded by his immediate family and in a house with an Aga, he refused to comment.
However, he added that this situation has tested him morally, as he never thought that his own Tweets of moral condescension would intersect so directly with Priti Patel’s.
